Upon long walks I have always ambiently studied footpaths and have been intrigued by their formation – the way they usher walkers, and the way the walkers usher them. Walkers within reason can walk where they please, but these ridge patterns of grass / path / grass / path seem to inevitably appear showing phases of memories of use and disuse. Maybe they speak of side by side conversations or maybe it is just mud avoidance. ©
